Lumbadive center opened its doors in 2000 in a very small office, by a French Jamaican. Sold in 2010 to Canadian folk's who brought the operation to a PADI 5 STAR Resort status. Since its purchase the dive center floor has been extended 5 times its original size. You will find a boutique, a classroom, a repair room, a fill station, a secure room for guests, showers and a terrace to relax. We are very please to introduce our new boat Captain Rondell who joined Lumbadive in February 2019. Rondell is a cricket star since he is a kid. You may one day see him in professional level. Owner of a boat, he's occasionally a water taxi. Before joining us, he guided many scuba fishermen from St-Vincent to Tobago. He completed is OW level and look forward to become a Dive Master.

At LB since: 2015 Boat Captain, Snorkel Guide, speak English The water is his world. At the age of 19 he got bronze medal in Grenada Swimming Competition. His best style was butterfly. He's been working on boat since he was a young boy, being boat captain for his father while this one was diving to catch fish, lobsters and conchs. Then he worked on a tugboat as summer job. He is very smiley, helpful and likes to make jokes. Sitting behind the steering, he has an eye on every one making sure they have a safe navigation to the dive site.
At Lumbadive since: 2010 Boat Captain, Speak English & Sweden. Vaughn has cross the Atlantic Ocean at least 3 times on sailboats. He worked on liners near Sweden where he lived 6 years. He's renowned to have eagle eyes. He can see the blow of a whale from very far and diver's bubbles even in choppy water. You can rely on him. He will always be near when you'll immerge out of water.
Although many of the courses can be done online, we have a classroom where our instructors will provide you all the training you need. The confined water area provide you more security while doing the exercises.
As a Beuchat Certified Center, all our rental equipments are from this brand. We've got what you need; BCD and wetsuit from children size 6-8 (size 2 European) to adult XXXL Fins size 1 for kids to 13 (45-47 European) for adults Mask with low volume for better comfort and snorkel. Our equipment is renewed every two years. All equipment is included in our courses, diving and snorkeling excursion prices. We also rent equipment on a daily basis. Special equipment such as light, light stick, camera, dive computer are available. We also have an array of repair or replacement parts and new equipment you may need in our boutique has T-shirt, dresses, local creation jewelries that you may need.
Designed and built by Mr. Benson Patrice a local boat builber, in 2002, this boat is the only one around the Island having 2 engines of 75hp to increase your safety. Boat is park at our private jetty, in front of the office. The 23 feet wood boat can accomodate a maximum of 10 divers at a time. It has a Biminis to protect you from the sun between the dives. Sit on the edge, rool back and enjoy the fantastic Caribbean underwater world. On your return on board, grab the line on the side of the boat. Remove and pass your weight belt and BCD to the captain or dive master and use our comfortable ladder to get back on the boat. Between dives, water, cookies and/or fruits are in gratuity on board. The following policy applies to all advance payments made via the Lumbadive website:
An advance payment (whether in full or as a deposit) serves to guarantee your booking with Lumbadive. This means that once you have received confirmation from us that your booking has been received, we will hold your place on the boat and/or on the course for the date(s) you have specified. If we are not able to fulfil your booking we will advise you of this as soon as possible. In this case or if we have to cancel your dive because of an unforeseen event at our end, we will do our best to offer you an alternative date for your dive/course, or, if this is not possible, we will reimburse your payment (or part thereof if the booking has already commenced), with the exception of the processing fee and any variations in exchange rate.
Holding your place on the boat or course for your chosen date(s) means that we may have to turn people away in order to keep our groups small, in the interest of providing you with a personal service and to ensure your safety and comfort. We therefore apply the following policy with regards to cancellations: we will refund your advance payment or a percentage thereof depending on the notice of cancellation given in writing with respect to the start date of your first dive/course.
Cancellation notice given: 14 – 28 days Refund applied: 75%
Cancellation notice given: 7 – 14 days Refund applied: 50%
Cancellation notice given: Less than 7 days Refund applied: 25%
Your payment for any booking cancelled 28 days or more from the start date of your dive/course will be refunded to you in full, with the exception of the processing fee and any variations in exchange rate. By making an advance payment to us you agree to comply with the terms set out above.
